We have qualified teachers that are passionate and are daily practitioners. They teach groups and individuals in there own local studio, at retreats and workshops and various other places for years. They love to share yoga at “Quinta da Alegria” .
We work together with yoga and meditation teacher Susanne Boekelman of Naturewize Yoga. Susanne teaches yoga in groups and individually, off- and online. Before in the Netherlands and since the beginning of 2023 in Portugal. She offers 4 regular classes a week, and together with other teachers and professionals organizes workshops, one- & multiple day retreats in Portugal as well as in the Netherlands. She loves to share yoga at ‘Quinta da Alegria’. Her classes are balanced, inspiring and suitable for all levels.
A 1,5h session consists off: Short introduction, Tuning in, warming up, A balanced yoga set (customized to wishes if needed), Relaxation, Meditation & closing.
Her classes are available in English, Dutch, French, German and Portuguese.

Kundalini Yoga classes are varied and pleasantly challenging. Dynamic (and static) body exercises are combined with meditations, mantras (healing sounds) and breathing techniques (pranayama). This special attention to the breath allows you to easily make contact with your inner world and life force. Your body becomes more flexible, you feel energetic and the busyness in your head disappears. There is suddenly more space, balance, lightness and a feeling of satisfaction.
The exercises are performed with attention at your own level, performance does not play any role. The lessons are suitable for both beginners and advanced students.

Susanne: ‘ I have been practicing yoga since I was 20, and I am now 51. Kundalini yoga came my way about 10 years ago after years of practicing Hatha Yoga and other forms. It immediately got me. The effects were profound and a new world opened up for me. I took more lessons and did the teacher training and was asked to teach. I still do that with great pleasure and passion. Sharing these varied tools, putting you back in touch with your life force and your potential, that is my passion. I have been living in Portugal since 2022 and have continued my Kundalini Yoga classes here.
I have been teaching twice a week in Côja since the beginning and also give online yoga classes twice a week. I also co-work and co-create with others, for example sound healers and other yoga teachers. We organize retreats, workshops a.o. both in Portugal and in the Netherlands. I am looking forward to getting to know you and practice together! ‘
